Jeffrey (“Jeff”) George is a Managing Director in BRG’s Forensic Accounting practice and is based in Colorado. Jeff is a Certified Public Accountant and Accredited in Business Valuation with more than 17 years of diverse investigative experience. An accomplished forensic accountant and expert witness, Jeff specializes in calculating economic damages in commercial litigation. He has testified and been retained on a variety of cases including:

• Partnership disputes
• Breach of contract
• Theft of trade secrets
• Wrongful termination and wage and hour matters
• Construction defect and trust fund violations
• Federal equity receiverships
• Fraud investigations
• Lost profits and business interruption
• Personal injury and wrongful death

Jeff has investigated a variety of cases involving fraud, including employee dishonesty, embezzlement, Ponzi schemes, EB5, trust fund violations. and other fidelity matters. He has worked with federal equity receivers, the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) and has testified in multiple State and Federal Court proceedings throughout the U.S. Jeff has also developed a specialized understanding of the areas of cryptocurrencies and blockchain technology. He also has worked as an expert in numerous Cannabis disputes with his work ranging from valuations and lost profits, to fraud investigation and accounting issues.
