Natalie Furniss, SVP P&C Legal, Nationwide Insurance. In this role, she leads the legal team supporting each of Nationwide’s Property & Casualty businesses, including personal lines, standard commercial lines, farm and agribusiness, excess and surplus lines and specialty products. Her team focuses on enabling solutions that contribute to achieving company priorities and priorities and protecting Nationwide and its members. Additionally, Natalie serves on several executive leadership team committees and as serves as an executive sponsor of the All Women Associate Resource Group.
Prior to joining Nationwide, Natalie was partner in a mid-size, Columbus-based law firm, focusing her practice on commercial litigation.
Natalie enjoys active memberships in many professional organizations and supports several nonprofit agencies- particularly those that support the arts, women and children, and those in need. She currently serves on the National Board of Directors for Mothers Against Drunk Driving (“MADD”), Fairfield Medical Center, Lancaster Port Authority, and Star House, a 24-hour, drop-in residential facility for homeless youth in Central Ohio. Natalie is passionate about issues impacting the health and wellbeing of families, especially young woman and children, and organizations that promote access to art and art education. Her prior volunteerism includes service on the boards of: InspirHer, an organization devoted to providing leadership development programs for girls in grades 5-8 in Appalachia, Ohio; Lancaster Festival a 10-day music and arts festival in Lancaster, Ohio; BalletMet Columbus.
She is an Ohio State Buckeye at heart, receiving her B.A. in Political Science and her J.D. from Capital University Law School.
